Dinesh Karthik Criticizes TM Coach After Harsh Remark on Captain for Semi-final Loss: Dinesh Karthik gets angry with the Tamil Nadu Coach Kulkarni as he criticizes the Captain of the Tamil Nadu team R Sai Kishore after losing the semi-final Ranji Trophy match against Mumbai.

So, Dinesh Karthik took to social media and expressed his feelings on the comments of Coach Kulkarni, for blaming the captain.

While Mumbai and Tamil Nadu were playing the Ranji Trophy on Day 1 TN captain took the batting first, but ultimately Mumbai won the test. Following the defeat, Kulkarni blamed the captain of the team for making the wrong decision at the time of the toss.

Karthik took X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday and slammed the Tamil Nadu coach, as he didn’t like the way that coach has talked about the captain rather than collectively taking the responsibility of losing.

“This is so WRONG. This is so disappointing from the coach ..instead of backing the captain who has brought the team to the semis after 7 years and thinking it’s a start for good things to happen, the coach has thrown his captain and team under the bus.”

“I always speak straightforward — we lost the match at 9 o’clock on day one,” Kulkarni said after Tamil Nadu lost the semi-final contest to Mumbai by an innings and 70 runs. “The moment I saw the wicket I exactly knew what we were going to get.

Everything was set, we won the toss, as a coach, and a Mumbaikar, I know the conditions well. We should have bowled but the captain had some different instinct.”

“When I saw that they had played on a different pitch in the quarter-final and what wicket they gave, (that) moment I realized that this is a seaming-friendly wicket and it was going to be a very tough match, we would have to play well to win this game.”

“Ultimately he [Sai Kishore] is the boss. I can give my feedback and inputs (on) the kind of wickets and Mumbai’s mindset also.”

He also said that,

“We were mentally prepared that whoever wins the toss would bowl first.”

“When you get into the first over, third (fourth) ball, your international player gets out and you see the situation… in the first hour, we lost the game and the plot. It was very difficult to come back.”

Coming to the match, Mumbai won its 48th Ranji Trophy by an innings and 70 runs against Tamil Nadu. During the toss, Tamil Nadu took the batting first and they secured only 146 runs.
