MC Cullum Supports His Vice Captain Ollie Pope Ahead of the 5th Test: Everything is set and ready ahead of the final test match with England. England head coach Brendon MC Cullum backed Ollie Pope by saying to score runs in the 5th test of the ongoing series of England vs India.

MC Cullum said by stressing that Pope Knows What he wants to do.

Pope started his Egland series with a duck in the first match held in Hyderabad but in the second innings, he made 196 and made England win. However, he was not consistent and failed to repeat his match-winning knock after the first test.

His performance has badly affected the team’s winning which was held in Rajkot and Ranchi. But by supporting the pope he said to the reporters that he knew what he needed to do.

Ahead of the final test match, MC Cullum defends his Vice Captain Ollie Pope at the reporters by saying that,

“He’s aware of what he needs to do. He bagged them in the last Test and he’s gutted about that but look at the way he was then helping the skipper on the last day and diving around in the field.”

He also added that,

“That’s the stuff you’re desperate for as a coach, to see people giving it their best regardless of their performance. He displayed great leadership qualities and that showed where he’s at as a player, member of this team, and as a person.”

“Look at Kevin Pietersen and Ricky Ponting when they first went out to bat. They were frenetic at the start and everyone’s susceptible when they first go out there. It’s just the way it is.”

Finally, he concluded by saying that,

“But Pope is trying to be as calm as he can be when he goes out there and there’s a period when he needs to grab information from the wicket and get the rhythm of how the game is going.”

Coming to the test match between IND vs ENG, the final test match is going to be held in March 7.
