World Cup Controversy of “Timed Out” Continues: Mathews “Video” Evidence Vs Fourth Empires Version

Fourth Empire Provided Clarity on Mathews “Timed Out” Evidence: We all know that Angelo Mathews was ruled out in the match against Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka. It became more controversial in Social Media, and it is continuing, Angelo provided the “video” evidence to prove Empire was wrong.

Additionally, with the video, many post-match comments are coming out, and even Mathews was busy on social media. But fourth empire also gave clarity on his dismissal.

Angelo Mathews Evidence After Time Out Dismissal

Angelo Mathews a Sri Lanka All-rounder and captain, has been time out in the match with Bangladesh held in Delhi and also been the first batter to be timed out in international cricket. Time-out dismissal was given to Mathews because he went to the crease to replace Sadeera Samarawickrama.

But due to his strap breaking, he was asked for a replacement, meanwhile, as he had taken more than three minutes, the Bangladesh captain appealed for “Timed out” dismissal.

That issue became controversial on social media, and still,, continues, to prove that he has not timed out he provided video evidence that shows that he still had 5 seconds time to face the ball when he was asking to replace his helmet.

Angelo Mathews Provides Evidence After Time Out Dismissal and tweeted as,

“4th umpire is wrong here! Video evidence shows I still had 5 more seconds even after the helmet gave away! Can the 4th umpire rectify this, please? I mean safety is paramount as I just couldn’t face the bowler without a helmet”.

Fourth Empire Clarification on Mathews “Timed Out” Dismissal

About Angelo Mathews timing out, Fourth Empire Adrian Holdstock, who had a timer with him said to Star Sports on Monday that, the batter is not even ready before the strap becomes an issue for him. 

He continued by saying that,

“Any batter should be ready with all the equipment that he has by checking them to come to the crease, even, every piece of equipment should be placed in a certain place, if you go out because you have to be ready to face the ball within 2 minutes”.

But after all this, according to Mathews, the Bangladesh team appealed “Timed Out” dismissal only after he asked for helmet replacement. Along with Shakib and his team, he also blames Fourth Empire for his “dismissal by saying,  “So, we talk about player safety. And a wicketkeeper for the spinner… they don’t let him keep without his helmet. So how can I take my guard without my helmet? It’s a complete equipment malfunction.”
