IND vs ENG, 2nd Test India beat England by 106 runs

Five Test series between India and England are going on in India. The opening Test was held in Hyderabad. In the Test 1, England won the match. The second Test was started on February 2 in Vishakapatnam. In Test 2, India beat England by 106 runs to equal the five-match Test series 1-1.

Chasing 399, England were bowled out for 292 runs in the second innings after India took 5 of 9 remaining wickets in the first session. In Team India, Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets in the second innings as dis spinner Ravindra Ashwin finished the Test with 499 career wickets to his name.

England began the match well from their overnight score of 67/1 before Axar Patel sent back ‘nightawk’ Rehan Ahmed for a team score of 95. The off-spinner again struck shortly after to dismiss first Test hero Ollie Pope and Joe Root as England found themselves at 154/4 before lunch break on day 4.

Kuldeep Yadav then dismissed Zak Crawley, who scored 73 in addition to his 76 in the first innings. Bumrah, who took 6 wickets in the first innings, then joined the party to send back Jonny Bairstow.

Bumrah’s wicket effectively titled the game in India’s favour as the teams went to lunch with the hosts just 4 wickets away from the victory. In the second session, Ben Strokes was found short by Shreyas Iyer while trying to sneak a quick single as all of England’s hope to win the match became futile.

Ben and Tom Hartley did put up a bit of resistance with a 55-run partnership for the 8th wicket before Bumrah sent back Foakes with a return catch off his bowling.

Indian young batters Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 209 and Shubman Gill scored 104 runs in the Test. While England batters Crawley scored 149 runs in the second Test against India.
