R Ashwin Wicket of Tom Hartley Survives After DRS Decision on Day 4: After India’s defeat in the first match of IND vs ENG held in Hyderabad. India was presently playing the second test match at YS Rajshekhar Reddy ACA – VDCA Cricket Stadium, Day 4.

And India is on the verge of winning the second test match. As everything was going well a sudden massive confusion took place in Day 4 second test match in Vizag.

R Ashwin dismissed Tom Hartley in the final innings of a test match. But DRS’s decision saved Tom from leaving the ground.

Why Did the Umpire Not Given “Out” For Tom Hartley in IND vs ENG Test Match in Vizag

As the second test match in Vizag is going on England needs to score 332 runs on days 4 and 5. India needs 9 more wickets from England. Already visitors have lost eight wickets for 275 runs.

On the 63rd over, Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Tom Hartley by bowling a carrom ball. But Tom took DRS to look at the final decision as he was sure that he was not out.

DRS showed that the ball hit the forearm of Tom and hit the wicket. Team India went to Gaffaney to question him, even commentators were left confused to provide clarity.

At first Ultra Edge was used to find whether the ball was caught or not. The on-field umpire had called ‘NOT OUT’ on the LBW decision and given the ball hit Hartley’s hand and wicket on ‘UMPIRE’s CALL’, there was no question of giving Hartley ‘OUT’ there.

Even though Tom Hartley and Ben Stokes given some fight at last, it didnt workout.
