According to a report by Cricbuzz, KL Rahul was not completely fit to play the match as he was only 90 percent fit after the injury to his quadriceps. So BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) sent him to London for expert advice.

Meanwhile, Nasser Hussain said that England should not feel ashamed as they lost the test series, because Rohit Sharma’s team is a deserving team to win the game.

He wrote on Sky Sports that,

“India deserves credit for the way they’ve played throughout the series, they have been without some star names…Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah in this one, Mohammed Shami, KL Rahul for most of the series and Rishabh Pant.”

“There’s a long list of people that India is missing and yet they’ve managed to put in performances. You have to give credit to India, not only for the skill they have, but the mental toughness to have another home series win.

“Their record at home is phenomenal, so there’s no shame in England losing to this Indian side.”
