Kaif Asks Did Cummins Chose To Appeal For “Obstruction of Field” Against Jadeja: On Friday, April 5th match was held between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. And SRH won the game by 6 wickets on CSK.

And during the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins decided to take back the “Obstructing the field” against Chennai Super King (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in the IPL match 18. There were many curious questions raised by experts.

‘Was it to keep Dhoni indoors?’: Former India batter

In the match held between CSK and SRH at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Pat Cummins did not appeal for the obstruction of the field. In the 19th over of the CSK innings

Kaif said that Cummins not appealing against Jadeja is a tactical call.  Jadeja scored an unbeaten 31 off 23 balls with 4 fours.

“Two questions to Pat Cummins on withdrawing the obstructing the field appeal against Jadeja. Was it a tactical call to let a struggling Jadeja be the crease and keep Dhoni indoors? Would he have done the same if it was Virat Kohli at World T20?” 

At the end, CSK batters failed to captalize on their starts as they were restricted to a below-par 165/5.

CSK added only 37 runs in the last five overs and that could be the turning point in the match. Jadeja remained unbeaten 31 off 23 balls as former captain MS Dhoni remained not out on one from two balls.

ODI World Cup-winning Australia captain after the match, said that,

“Crowd was crazy tonight. When MS (Dhoni) walked out, it was as loud as I’ve ever heard.”
