Mayank Agarwal files police case after health scare in New Delhi-bound flight

Karnataka captain Mayank Agarwal was rushed to hospital after he fell sick right before his flight was scheduled to take off on Tuesday evening. The cricket community was shocked after learning that Mayank was admitted to the ILS Hospital in Agartala. He reported a troubling burning sensation in his throat and mouth, prompting immediate medical attention.

The incident happened after the Karnataka team started the journey from Agartala to Surat via New Delhi. Just before the New Delhi-bound flight was about to take off, he complained about stomach discomfort and a burning sensation in his throat and mouth after consuming liquid from a pouch he believed contained drinking water.

The captain shared photos from the hospital bed. He suffered oral irritation and swelling in his lips after consuming a transparent liquid, mistaking it for water.

“I am feeling better now. Gearing to come back. Thanks for your prayers, love and support, everyone,” Mayank Agarwal said in his Instagram post on Wednesday, January 31.
