Mayank Yadav Aims to Emulate Jofra Archer’s Memorable World Cup Ball in IPL 2024: LSG’s sensational bowler Mayank Yadav has uncovered that his pipe dream is to emulate Jofra Archer’s popular World Cup 2019 ball against Bangladesh. He even tried to recreate it in the recent two matches of IPL 2024 with six wickets. Also, he consistently crossed the 150 kmph mark in both games.

While interviewing with SportsTak, Mayank Yadav showed his fantasy to recreate the 2019 World Cup famous Archer’s iconic delivery against Bangladesh. The fast bowler from England delivered a ball that was destined to hit the top of the off-stump and clean up Soumya Sarkar.

“Yes, from my young age, I have been hearing coaches tell fast bowlers to hit the top of the off-stump. Also, I had a dream. I wanted to bowl a delivery that would hit the top of the off-stump and fly over the boundary rope, like what Jofra Archer did in the World Cup. I also thought I would be able to do that,” expressed LSG’s Pace Bowler Mayank.

A Closer Look at Mayank’s Replication of Archer’s Magical Delivery

In the recent innings between Royal Challengers & Super Giants at Chinnaswamy stadium, Mayank performed a similar ball to the famous Archer’s ball. Mayank planned to give this desired delivery to RCB’s Cameron Green, who was quite thrashed for pace and failed to make contact with it.

Mayank’s outstanding delivery on the pitch attracted both fans and experts alike, with many applauding his skills and potential.

Sensational younger pacer even stated, “I think that delivery that Cameron Green’s stumps flew toward the boundary, but pitched just before the rope. It was a special delivery. It was special because, in the previous delivery, I think Cameron Green hit me for a boundary”.
