Mohammad Shami’s Mother Fall Ill While Watching WC 2023: The ICC World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia kept me very excited on Sunday but for one family in Shahaspur village, took the excitement an unexpected turn. Mohammad Shami’s mother was hospitalized due to dizziness and nervousness for the past few days.

Without wasting any time the relatives and friends of Shami rushed her to a local hospital. This happened to her because she was praying about the India match with some other people in the village.

Updates from Shami’s cousin Dr Mumtaz said,

“She was admitted to the hospital due to fever and nervousness. Now, her condition is normal.”

In a video shared by ANI on social media (X), Shami’s mother said her son had made India proud with his stellar show in this tournament and she also hoped to help his team bring the coveted trophy home.

“He is making the country proud. May the almighty make him successful so that he can bring the World Cup home,” Anjum told ANI.

Shami’s Performance in ODI Tournament

In the first four games of the tournment, Shami ended up as the highest wicket taker in the lead upto the final world cup 2023 match. He took 23 wickets in six games, including two five-fours and a  World Cup semis against New Zealand, Shami has taken seven wicket haul was heads and shoulders ahead of everyone in terms of momentum and average (around nine).

Finally, anyway India faced a heartbreaking 6-wicket loss in the final against Australia. India could only manage to post 240 on the scoreboard before the Aussies chased it down in 43 overs with Travis Head smashing a brilliant century.
