R Ashwin lauds Rinku Singh’s batting skills like MS Dhoni against Afghans: One of the best off-spinners from the blue team is R Ashwin and he recently praised a new & young batsman Rinku Singh, comparing him to a left-handed Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his calm behavior and outstanding batting technique.

During R Ashwin’s YouTube show, he praises a lot about the young batter and compares his unique & composure left-handed batting style with iconic star MS Dhoni.

At the same time, Ashwin cleared there are no comparisons between Rinku and Dhoni, declaring that the left-hander has impressed many with his calm and organized behavior, which the former Indian skipper is known for.

“He is somebody I’d call a left-handed Dhoni. I can’t compare him to Dhoni just yet because Dhoni is too big. But, I am talking about the composure that he brings. He has been consistently scoring buckets of runs for UP and broke his way into the Indian team”.

Ravichandran Ashwin added further;

“Since then, he has been with the franchise for so long, put in the hard work for UP, and showed that he’s always available to get the Indian team out of a tricky situation or finish an innings. The composure doesn’t change whether the team is batting first or chasing. His composure towards the back end of the innings is a bonus”.
