Rohit Sharma’s Career in T20I Comes to an End After ICC World Cup 2023

Rohit Sharma’s Career in T20I Comes to an End: According to the reports, came out, Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma’s T20I career has come to an end. And also according to the sources, Rohit Sharma already spoke to the selectors by saying that he is fine even though you have not considered me for the finals.

If the board has not selected him for this T20I series, his last T20I will be the semi-final against England in the ICC T20 World Cup 2023. According to the Times of India, the biggest discussion in BCCI is about skipper Rohit Sharma, and whether he should be clear from his white ball future.

Does Rohit Sharma’s White Ball Future Came to an End?

After India lost the game against Australia, many sources have said that Rohit Sharma is going to end his white-ball career. Even they are also saying that he had already spoken to the selectors on this and agreed to be out from the cricket. But still, there is no official report on this news.

Selectors on BCCI are mainly interested in investing in young blood, so we need to see whether 36-year-old Rohit Sharma will be able to continue in cricket or not.

Any way by 2027 he will be 40, and he cannot able to participate in that. Even if we see the champions trophy in 2025, by that time he will be 38 years old, so there is also no chance of playing in that match.

A source told to Times of India that,

“Rohit had communicated to the Indian selection committee before the ICC World Cup 2023 that he was fine with the idea of not being considered for T20Is. The selectors want to go ahead with young players,”

“Rohit will focus on Test cricket for the next cycle of World Test Championship. Grooming a skipper for a five-day format is a part of the agenda.”

Coming to the Next ODI assignment, it is a three-match series against South Africa next month.
