Ruturaj Gaikwad Gives Huge Statement After Chennai Beat Kolkata: As we already know, for CSK MS Dhoni has left the captaincy, and Ruturaj Gaikwad has taken up the captaincy.

In his leadership they won the matches and lost the matches and after winning CSK with KKR, in a press conference Ruturaj said that, he wanted to keep the culture that was started by MS Dhoni.

‘I don’t want to change a single bit of it’: Ruturaj Gaikwad 

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) secured a seven-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 8. And CSK Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad says that he doesn’t want to change the culture of CSK that was kept by MS Dhoni.

Ruturaj took the captaincy charge just one day to start the Indian Premier League (IPL). His leadership journey started with bittersweet as he started with two back-to-back wins against Bengaluru and Gujarat.

And soon suffered two back-to-back defeats. Speaking on it, Ruturaj said in the post-match press conference that,

“I don’t want to be a specific kind of character. I just like to flow things as they’re flowing… keep the culture of the CSK going. That’s what I feel. The success we’ve had, the things we have been doing, I don’t want to change a single bit of it.”

“I just want to come here, make my own decisions and just give as much freedom as possible because that’s what has been happening since I joined CSK. Nothing changes and I’m enjoying myself.”

Ruturaj said that he is more focused on maintaining the culture started by MS Dhoni.

“To be honest, not deep conversations, I feel [around captaincy with Dhoni]. It was in a very chilled state. Just one conversation I would say. We were practicing and he came and told me all this stuff.

Everyone, others on the outside, would think they are big shoes to fill but I feel I would always be myself and I would like to continue the culture that has been going.”

Presently, with this win Chennai Super Kings is in fourth place on the table. CSK is getting ready for the next match with Hardik Pandya and the team Mumbai Indians on Sunday, April 14 at Wankhede Stadium.
