Steve Smith Urges Fans to ‘Let Go’ of Past and Support MI Skipper: Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians to five IPL titles and after that this year 2024, Mumbai Indians kept Rohit Sharma aside and made Hardik Pandya captain.

Steve Smith Who is the Commentator of Star Sports in India urged fans not to boo him and instead support Hardik Pandya from the next match by leaving the past as past.

Everyone knows that Hardik was traded from Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians while he was being as a skipper to GT. He came to Mumbai Indians to be a captain in the place of Rohit Sharma.

Anyway, this mobe was not liked by the fans of Rohit and MI, and started booing Hardik Pandya in every match. As Steve Smith can’t see this he urged fans to support Hardik without booing him.

Steve Smith who is the commentator in India at Star Sports told me PTI that,

‘Yes and no. There was that (booing) going on in the first two games. It sort of becomes a bit of a thing, if that makes sense. But, it was unfortunate, I think. I’d love to see them supporting Hardik. There’s a lot of huge Rohit fans out there.”

”A lot of people are a bit annoyed that he’s not the captain of the side. But, everyone needs to let go of that and support Hardik. He’s a wonderful player. He had a lot of success at Gujarat (Titans). He’s back (as) captain of the side at Mumbai now.

”The senior players need to help him out,” he added.

“One thing about the Mumbai Indians is (that) they’re notoriously bad starters in the tournament. They’ve done it on numerous occasions.”

“I don’t think they’d be too worried just yet. But, they will have to turn things around really quickly. It doesn’t look good, 0-3 at the bottom of the table. They have to turn things around really quickly.”

MI led by Hardik Pandya has failed to register at least one, let fans at least support Hardik Pandya in the next coming match against DC at Wankhede stadium on April 7.
