Brendon Mc Cullum Praises Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma For His Captaincy: Brendon Mc Cullum is a captain and head coach for the New Zealand Team, he became a fan of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma as he had taken a risk for his team and took the game on.

He also hailed Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for their performances, especially after the World Cup 2023 campaign.

‘Rohit Sharma is a great leader for not just India but Mumbai Indians as well’: Brendon McCullum

Brendon Mc Cullum is a test team coach for England who is also known for his daring captaincy, and he is going to be in charge of 5 match series in England and India which is going from January 2024.

He praises Rohit Sharma and says that he became a big fan of Rohit Sharma’s captaincy and leadership skills, especially in the ODI format of 2023.

And talking to the news agency ANI, he says that,

“Yeah. I like his (Rohit Sharma’s) captaincy. I think his captaincy is bold. He takes risks and he takes the game on. And when you add the talent base of India to these kinds of tactics, then he can achieve very good things. He has been a great leader for not just India but for Mumbai Indians over the years as well.”

Rohit has established himself as a T20 captain by turning MI into a series of winners in the IPL. If you see in 2015, he led Mumbai Indians to 5 titles. India may have lost the title in the India vs Australia World Cup, but it won the hearts of many fans.

Virat is a Superstar

He also covered Kohli and was praised for his amazing performances on Big occasions. By saying,

“Well, obviously Virat, I know him pretty well from my time at RCB and also playing against him. So look, he was always touted as a future superstar and he has lived up to it, he has dealt with the hopes and the dreams of over a billion people and he has been able to perform on the big stage. He deserves every accolade that he gets.”

He also says that he has known Virat Kohli closely since his days in the Royal Challengers and remembers playing with him too.

India Challenge in 2024

He is also very excited about the India and England tour as England’s test coach, saying that it will be an amazing challenge. He also said that the tour is going to be very tough, and also carries excitement.

“Looking forward to dueling with both those two (Rohit and Virat) and all the other guys come the Indian tour in January, February, March. It is going to be a tour which will be very tough, but a tour that we are looking forward to.

The opportunity to take on the best team in their conditions in the world and see where we are at as a side,” he said to the News Agency ANI.
