Cricketers head to Jamnagar for Anant Ambani, Radhika Merchant’s Pre-wedding Festivities

Former cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar reached Gujarat’s Jamnagar with their families on Friday to attend the three-day pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of the Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani is set to marry Radhika Merchant, the youngest daughter of Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant, last year.

The Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni are spotted at the Jamnagar airport to attend Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations. The video goes viral on the internet.

Before the 17th edition of IPL, cricket stars across the globe united for Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son’s pre-wedding festivities. The cricket stars including MS Dhoni, legendary Sachin Tendulkar and his family members, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and his brother Krunal Pandya, former pace Zaheer Khan and wife Sagrika Ghatge, Suryakumar Yadav and wide Devish Shetty were spotted at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj airport in Mumbai.

Not only the Indian cricket fraternity but also foreign players such as Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran also arrived at Jamnagar for the big fat Indian wedding.

Mukesh Ambani’s wife, Nita Ambani and their son, Akash Ambani are the owners of the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians. The cricketers arriving for the ceremony have been associated with the franchise.

Other Cricketers in Attendance of Big Fat Indian Pre-wedding

Apart from Dhoni and Tendulkar, current and former cricketers from India and abroad will attend the pre-wedding bash. Those include Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Hardik, Zaheer Khan, Ishan Kishan, Dwayne Bravo, and Sam Curran. Some of them have arrived on Friday.

The Day 1 celebrations are called ‘An Evening in Everland’, where guests are expected to wear elegant cocktail attire. Day 2 will host ‘A Walk on the Wildside’ with ‘jungle fever’ being the suggested dress code. It is set to be held outdoors in the animal rescue and rehabilitation centre in Jamnagar.

The guests will then proceed to ‘Mela Rouge’ which will be a potpourri of desi activities and the guests will wear their favourite South Asian attires.

For Day 3, two events – ‘Tusker Trails’ and ‘Hashtakshar’ – are planned. The first event will be an outdoor affair where the guests will enjoy the natural beauty of Jamnagar and for the last and final event, they’ll be dressed in ‘heritage Indian Wear’.
