Sourav Ganguly honors R Ashwin as ‘All-time great’ before Dharamsala Test: Sourav Ganguly who was ex-Indian captain, has wandered huge compliment on spinner R Ashwin, by calling an all-time great. Ashwin is likely to play his 100th test match which is against England in their last match of 5 day test series in Dharamsala.

The final match between India and England is on March 7th at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. Ashwin in the past marked the 500-wicket stamp in test cricket in Rajkot and became the ninth bowler in the history of Test cricket to pick 500 wickets.

Ravichandran Ashwin, the Indian off-spinner, has achieved a great feat by surpassing Anil Kumble’s record of taking the most Test wickets for India at home. Ashwin has breached the 350-wicket mark at home, making him the leading Indian wicket-taker in Tests on home soil.

Talking to Revsportz, Ganguly called Ashwin an all-time great, during the process Ravindra Jadeja is the best all-rounder at the moment. In the most recent ICC rankings, Jadeja ranked as the number 1 Test all-rounder in the world.

“All-time great, all-time great offspring. 500 wickets is not a matter of joke. Then you have Jadeja, the best all-rounder at the moment. Bat and ball in these conditions,” said Ganguly.

“I think Kuldeep has come back immensely. He’s improved immensely. And I think with bowlers like Ashwin and Jadeja, he’s not been underdone by them. He’s made a mark of his in the series and will go on to play for India for a long period,” Ganguly added.
