Rohit Sharma caught on stump mic having funny conversation with umpire during final T20I

Rohit Sharma’s funny conversation with umpire Virender Sharma was caught on the stump mic as the Indian captain argued with him for giving a leg bye when he had hit the ball for a boundary off the very first delivery he faced in Bengaluru M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the final T20I against Afghanistan.

Rohit, who made his return to the Indian side during the series, was dismissed for ducks in the first two matches and looking to get off the mark in Bengaluru.

He faced the second ball against Fareed Ahmed and glanced it for the boundary. But the umpire, Sharma, would give it as leg byes. Rohit was then forced to wait till the second over for the match to get off the mark.
Before the start of over number 2, Rohit would ask Virender Sharma the question if he had given it as leg byes, which would get a hilarious reaction from fans and the commentators.

“Arre viru, leg-bye diya tha second ball? Itna bada bat laga (Viru, did you give it as leg-bye? There was a good portion of the bat on that.),” said Rohit.

India had got 11 runs in the first over and it was followed by just two in the second one. The third over would see India find themselves in a spot of bother as both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli get dismissed in consecutive deliveries. Kohli was out of a golden duck, much to the dismay of fans in Bengaluru.

Shivam Dube, who scored fifties in the first two matches, would get dismissed for one and Sanju Samson also failed to make an impact with the bat as he was also dismissed for a duck.
