Jasprit Bumrah's Cryptic Post After Becoming ICC No.1 Bowler In Test Goes Viral

India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has shared a cryptic post for his detractors after emerging from an injury-prone phase. He becomes the first Indian pacer to be ranked No. 1 in the ICC Test rankings.

After becoming the No.1 ranked Test bowler, Bumrah shared a cryptic message via his official Instagram story. His post suggested that he was disappointed by the discourse on social media and the rest of the cricket fraternity when he was struggling with injuries, even as he is the toast of the nation now for storming back to form.

The enigmatic photo depicts juxtaposed images of empty stands and crowded arenas, symbolizing the contrast between support and acknowledgement. Amidst the barren terraces, the inscription reads, “The Support,” while the bustling crowds bear the message, “The Congratulations.” Through this intriguing visual narrative, Bumrah poignantly highlights the disparity between adversity and triumph, underscoring the significance of resilience in the face of challenges.

Before his back injury, Bumrah’s last appearance for India was in July 2022. when he captained India in the rescheduled Test match vs England in Birmingham. He bagged the player of the series award with 23 wickets in 5 Tests.

His spree of match-winning performances after his comeback made everyone believe as if he had never left. Bumrah became the 5th highest wicket-taker of the ODI World Cup 2024 with 20 wickets in 11 matches. He made a comeback for India in whites for the 2-match Test series against South Africa where he was adjudged as the Player of the series.

In the ongoing Test series against England, Bumrah is the leading wicket-taker with 15 scalps to his name in 2 Tests. He produced a spectacular show with his reverse swing to help India win the 2nd Test by 106 runs and level the series 1-1.
