McCullum Declines Prominence Post-Series Loss Stands Firm on Bazball

McCullum Declines Prominence Post-Series Loss, Stands Firm on Bazball: Brendon McCullum who is England’s head coach, has realized that the team has not yet discovered a consistent technique in red-ball cricket, but has decided to persist with the ultra-attacking Bazball method.

Still, England’s performance in the continuous Test series against India has been unstable, and they are presently following 1-3 with one match left. The Bazball approach has also been criticized for its inability to produce the desired results against strong teams such as India and Australia.

The visitors emerged victorious and seized a prior charge over India in the first Test of the Ind Vs Eng five-match series. Therefore, they were unfit to hold constancy in the next three Tests and ended up losing the series.

In the next innings, the England team failed after applying the Bazball approach, so the young Indian team capitalized on it to win the series, developing their unique record at home.

According to McCullum, England has enhanced greatly over the past 18 months and can accomplish great things in the future years.

In an interview with the UK Media, Brendon McCullum said, ‘There are times in games where we haven’t quite screwed down our method just yet. We’ve lost here, didn’t win the Ashes (2-2), but we’re a better team than 18 months ago, and we’ve got an opportunity in the next 18 months to do some special shit”.

Tom Hartley and Shoiab Bashir, the English spinners, have been the most amazing performers for their group, despite having little experience. Yet, their actions were deterred by the underperformance of the batters, leading to the team’s failure.

“It’ll be emotional for him,” commented Brendon

McCullum commented that the team would perform on driving their weaknesses to bounce back in the future.

”We’ll keep chiseling away at those rough edges. It’s not a bad time to be coach of the England team,” he sounded.

Meanwhile, the head coach of the England team also spoke regarding Jonny Bairstow all set to perform his 100th Test match in Dharamsala.

“It’ll be really emotional for him,” stated McCullum with regards to Bairstow’s landmark play.

Brendon even supported the England star in jumping around an underwhelming version in the India series so far.

He further added, “Everyone knows Jonny’s story. At times, he is quite an emotional character, and big milestones like that do mean a lot to him. (In this match) he walked taller, looked stronger, and had that presence and that real Jonny Bairstow swagger. When he has that you feel he’s never too far away”.
