MS Dhoni receives invitation to attend Ram Mandhir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ event in Ayodya
Former India captain MS Dhoni has received the invitation to the much-awaited “Pran Prathistha” ceremony of the Ram Mandhir in Ayodya. He got the invitation at his residence in Ranchi on Monday, January 15.
The Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was given the invitation from Dhanajay Singh, co-province secretary of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh).
State Organization General Secretary of BJP, Karmaveer Singh, was also present when the former cricket received the invitation to the Ram temple inauguration, scheduled on January 22 in Ayodya.
MS Dhoni has become the latest Indian cricketer to be invited to the Ram temple consecration ceremony after other popular players like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.
On January 13, the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar received the invitation at his residence in Mumbai. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been handling the invitation sending duties to over 6000 people in the country.
A lot of celebrities from various spheres of life are expected to attend the Ram temple ceremony on January 22. India Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in the end.

Even Ayodya is gearing up for the ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged all Ram Devotees to not flock to the city in Uttar Pradesh on the day of inauguration, saying the public can visit the temple once the formal program is completed on January 22.
“I have a request to all. Everyone has a wish to come to Ayodhya to be a part of the event on 22 January. But you know it is not possible for everyone to come. Therefore, I request all Ram devotees that once the formal program is done on 22nd January, they should come to Ayodhya at their convenience and do not make up their minds to come to Ayodhya on 22nd January,” PM Modi had said.
MS Dhoni returned to India after welcoming the New Year with his family and friends in Dubai. He also started training for the IPL 2024 season at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium (JSCAS) in Ranchi.
World Cup-winning captain underwent knee surgery to treat a long-standing injury issue after leading CSK to IPL 2023 triumph. He confirmed he would return to play in the next IPL and has been working hard to ensure he is in full fitness.
MS Dhoni retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020. However, he is continuing to play in the IPL, leading CSK to titles twice after he hung up his boots from international cricket.
