Indian Premier League 2024: RCB player Mohammed Siraj bowed down to Jasprit Bumrah in a heartwarming moment of respect between them after the Mumbai Indians star pacer picked up a five-wicket haul in the recent match between MI and RCB.

Jasprit Bumrah completed the match with figures of 4-0-21-5 at Wankhede Stadium on Thursday (April 11) to play a big role in MI’s seven-wicket victory against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team.

By taking 5 wickets in MI’s fifth game of the ongoing IPL season, BUmrah created multiple records. He became the first bowler in the world to take a five-wicket haul in the IPL against RCB and now holds the record for dismissing most RCB players in the cash-rich league.

In 19 IPL matches played against RCB, Jasprit Bumrah has 29 wickets to his name. Apart from that, he also became the first MI bowler and 4th overall after James Faulkner, Jaydev Unadkat, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar to take 2 five-wicket halls in the IPL.

Bumarh took 5 wickets for 21 in 4 overs, thus MI managed to restrict RCB to 196 runs in 20 overs and then chase down the 197-run target in 15.3 overs for the loss of just 3 wickets. After captain Hardik Pandya finished the game with a 6 on the third ball of the 16th over, Siraj paid the ultimate respect to Bumrah by bowing down to him when players from both teams shook hands with each other.

Bumrah who missed the IPL 2023 season because of a back injury is in form this year. In the 5 matches he played, he picked up 10 wickets, which helped him to become a leading wicket-taker in the IPL 2024.

In the recent MI vs DC match, he picked up 2 wickets, which also helped him become the first Indian bowler to take 150 or more wickets for the team in the IPL, and by adding 5 more wickets to his tally, he has now become the 10th most successful bowler in IPL history.
