Rahul Helped Arshdeep With His Stunning Comeback in ODI against SA: Successfully, ist ODI against South Africa was completed by India, and India won the match by 117 runs with the help of Sai Sudharsan and Shreyas Iyer’s fifties. This game is held in Johannesburg.

South Africa ended up with 116 runs which is very lowest that they got at home. KL Rahul is leading the India team as a skipper for the SA World Cup, he led the team very well.

The 1st ODI has been completed at New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. In this ODI against South Africa, South Africa won the toss in the match and they decided to bat first.

India bowlers set the tone and in Arshdeep Singh’s bowling, he dismissed opener batter Reeza Hendricks and Rassie van der Dussen on consecutive deliveries.

Not only those two, Arshdeep took two more wickets in the first power play and put the SA team under pressure. After Arshdeep, Avesh Khan came into the ground and took four wickets.

When it came to batters of India, Sai Sudharshan who is debuting for the ODI came into the game as an opener and scored half a century and after that, KL Rahul smashed another brilliant half-century.

And that helped India to win the 1st ODI against South Africa with eight wickets. Speaking in the post-match conference, Arshdeep gave all the credit to KL Rahul,

“I feel a little sore (now) but loving this moment. Thank God and the team management. It was a little different than the normal grounds as I was running out of breath. I would thank KL Rahul bhai as he said you have to come back and get that fifer. I guess it is about enjoying this moment.”

“Personally it feels good, I am enjoying my role. Our team’s main motto is adaptability. Whether I open or bowl first-change, I’m happy representing my country. It was quite hot as well. I was playing a 50-over game after a year. But it all paid off, and after my five-for, I feel very fresh,” he added.

Also, Arshdeep got the player of the match award for that ODI. He is the first Indian fast bowler who took that award against SA.
