Virat Kohli Likely to miss 3rd Test against England

India vs England Test: India has already lost the first Test against England and is trailing in the ongoing five-match Test series. Virat Kohli missed the initial 2 Test matches due to personal reasons. Indian pacers Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul also missed the second Test.

What is now concerning for the hosts is whether will Kohli return for the remaining three Tests. While the reason for Kohli’s absence is not known, a report in Cricbuzz suggests that the former India captain is abroad and his return to the side could be further delayed. Nothing can be confirmed as of now on Kohli’s availability.

Initially, one guessed that Kohli may have taken the break because his wife Anushka Sharma was pregnant, but that news was proved wrong soon. Then a few social media users reckoned that Kohli’s mother is not well and that is why he is missing the Test matches. This news was also dismissed as fake news by Virat’s elder brother Vikas Kohli.

Following Rahul’s injury, BCCI announced uncapped Sarfaraz as a replacement. However, Patidar was with the Indian squad before the first Test after Virat Kohli opted himself out of the first two games citing personal reasons.
